Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced IFRS17 Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and be responsible for implementing and maintaining compliance with IFRS17 standards within the organization. The IFRS17 Accountant will work closely with the finance and actuarial teams to ensure accurate financial reporting and analysis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement and maintain compliance with IFRS17 standards
- Review financial data and perform analysis to ensure accurate reporting
- Work closely with the actuarial team to interpret and implement new accounting policies
- Prepare financial statements and reports in accordance with IFRS17 guidelines
- Assist with auditing and reconciling financial data
- Stay up to date on changes and updates to IFRS17 standards
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to provide guidance and support on IFRS17 compliance
- Identify and communicate potential financial risks and opportunities related to IFRS17 compliance
Qualifications:
- CA(SA)
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting, with a focus on IFRS standards
- Strong understanding of IFRS17 guidelines and regulations
- Experience with financial reporting and analysis
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
