Job Description
The Senior Project Manager for financial services with actuarial experience will be responsible for leading and managing complex projects within the financial services industry, specifically focusing on actuarial functions. This individual will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time, within scope, and within budget.
Key responsibilities:
1. Lead and drive project planning, execution, monitoring, and reporting for actuarial projects within the financial services industry.
2. Collaborate with key stakeholders to define project scope, goals, and deliverables.
3. Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, and budgets to ensure successful project delivery.
4. Manage project resources, including team members and vendors, to meet project objectives.
5. Monitor and report on project progress, risks, and issues to senior management.
6. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
7. Provide guidance and support to project team members, including mentoring junior team members.
8. Act as a subject matter expert on actuarial functions within the financial services sector.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, actuarial science, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree preferred.
2. Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus.
3. Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management within the financial services industry, with a focus on actuarial functions.
4. Strong understanding of actuarial principles and practices.
5. Experience leading cross-functional project teams and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
6. Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
7. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
8. Experience working with regulatory agencies and compliance requirements in the financial services sector.
